Find Your Way: We never close

Ken Bolser

Since AAA Colorado operates around-the-clock to serve you whenever you need us, we have a saying here that “we never close.” We take advantage of every hour of every day—and we get a lot done. I want to take a moment to recognize everything we’ve accomplished together in 2021, and look at some exciting developments on the horizon.

Historic firsts

In 2020, we learned sometimes the world forces you to live through history. However, 2021 taught us that sometimes we’re presented with opportunities to make history. This year, AAA Colorado launched the nation’s first anti-theft initiative to combat the scourge of catalytic converter theft, thanks to the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority. We also announced the country’s first partnership to roll out emissions-free, hydrogen fuel-cell-electric rescue vehicles into our fleet, where they’ll be at your service, and help build the infrastructure so that someday you can have your own hydrogen vehicle. And, for the first time in Colorado, we’ve introduced comprehensive banking services for our members so you can now get home and auto loans from the organization you’ve trusted for nearly a century.

Time-honored traditions

As much as we love celebrating the new, we love our time-honored traditions, too. Our “Tows for Toys” program, which we’ve put on hold during the pandemic, collects toys from our employees and members, and delivers them on a special tow truck to the families at Denver’s Warren Village ahead of the year-end holidays. Warren Village provides transitional housing, education, job training, and other important resources to low-income, single parent families to help them achieve sustainable, meaningful self-sufficiency. You can learn more and contribute at warrenvillage.org. I also want to announce, beginning in 2022, we’re doubling our community engagement grant program. We’re excited to give back, even more, in communities across Colorado.

A new look

AAA continues to look for ways add value to your membership, not only by introducing new services and benefits, but also by enhancing existing ones. In January 2022, this magazine, EnCompass, will rebrand as AAA Living and sport a whole new look, and contain other enhancements to help you get even more from your membership. AAA Living will capture a wider range of AAA discounts and services, and feature additional lifestyle articles and weekend vacation ideas. Local, national, and international destinations will still remain a central component, and you’ll continue to see member stories highlighted in the magazine. Packed with added features, more advice and resources, and a brand new design, AAA Living promises something new for the next generation of our magazine.—because, in all that we do, we’re working to be the “next-generation AAA.” We hope you’ll enjoy the new design and direction.

Thank you for being a AAA member, and on behalf of everyone at AAA, I wish you a joyous holiday
