DENVER (Sept. 23, 2019) – AAA Colorado has been named an honoree of "The Civic 50 Colorado ," joining the ranks of the 50 most community-minded companies in Colorado. The award was presented by CSR Solutions of Colorado and Points of Light, the world's largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. AAA Colorado was separately recognized as the "Mid-size Company Category Leader," winning praise as the number one company its size for its advocacy, community engagement, and corporate social responsibility efforts.

The awards, determined by an independently administered and scored survey, were modeled after Point of Light's national program – widely recognized as the gold standard for superior corporate citizenship and evaluating how companies use their time, skills, and resources to impact their communities. The Colorado Civic 50 represents the first-ever statewide initiative from Points of Light to showcase how local companies move social impact, civic engagement, and community to the center of their business.

"Since we first came together in 1922, serving others has been at the heart of what we do at AAA Colorado," said AAA Colorado spokesman Skyler McKinley. "We were founded on the principle of getting travelers to where they need to go, and giving them safety, security, and peace of mind on the way there and back. From our advocacy efforts before policymakers to our industry-leading research on new mobility technology to our world-class emergency roadside assistance, it's our privilege to give back to this community. We're so grateful for this recognition, and for the opportunity to serve."

The Civic 50 Colorado honorees are public and private companies operating in the state, and are selected based on four dimensions of their community engagement program – investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems, and impact measurement.

About the Award
The Civic 50 survey is administered by True Impact, a company specializing in helping organizations maximize and measure their social and business value. The survey instrument consists of quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform The Civic 50 scoring process. The Civic 50 is the only survey and ranking system that exclusively measures corporate involvement in communities.
