Eye-catching scene▲

Sheree Landwehr of Wheat Ridge submitted this photo by email of this abandoned cabin along Hoosier Pass (Hwy 9) between Fairplay and Breckenridge. “I’ve had a passion for photography ever since college,” Landwehr tells EnCompass. “So, while my husband and I were on a fall foliage-viewing drive, this was one of those eye-catching scenes I wanted to capture. I made him turn around and pull over so I could walk out and get a closer shot.” Her camera: Sony Cybershot with 20x Optical Zoom. Member since: 2001

Keith Desposito of Peyton submitted this photo by email of Tunnel #9 along Gold Camp Road near Victor. “While driving back to Colorado Springs, I stopped to photograph this last surviving wood-framed tunnel from the Colorado Springs & Cripple Creek District Railway,” Desposito tells EnCompass. “I take this road almost every season, and the tunnel frames the late-fall aspens perfectly.” His camera: Canon 5D. Member since: 1984
