My AAA Story

On Fridays, I always used to tell my students: “have a good weekend, see you on Monday. Unless I win the lottery and I’m in Jamaica or Tahiti!”
At what would be my very last school spring concert, I couldn’t help but notice several former students and even their parents in the audience.
I couldn’t believe it! At the end of the concert, my current and former students presented me with a check – to go on a dream vacation of my choosing!
Victor, a AAA Travel Agent at the Colorado Springs retail location, made it easy. He presented several tour and cruise options after we explained what we were looking for. We let Victor know that we were not necessarily experienced travelers!
We finally decided on a cruise to Cozumel. Because we made the decision so fast, we had to start getting ready fast!
Each day, we would find time to read the social media posts by my amazing students that had organized the fund-raising. I had printed them out before we had left for the trip. Reading these each night was the perfect ending of each day!
